Mile End is on the <strong>District<\/strong>, <strong>Hammersmith and City<\/strong> and <strong>Central<\/strong> lines. It is in the heart of London\u2019s East End, near Whitechapel and Bow, and just east of the City of London, the main financial district. The QMUL campus is also a short bus or underground ride (<strong>Central<\/strong> line) from Stratford and Queen Elizabeth Park, where the 2012 Olympics were held.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.qmul.ac.uk\/about\/howtofindus\/mileend\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Campus information &amp; maps<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Tips for getting around London<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oyster.tfl.gov.uk\/oyster\/entry.do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oyster card<\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The best way for you to travel around London is to get an Oyster card. This can be used on the underground and local trains and buses. It\u2019s important to get one (or another type of TFL travel card) because you <strong>cannot<\/strong> use cash to pay on London buses. Oyster cards can be purchased at major underground stations and other TFL sales outlets.<\/li><li>If you have a contactless bank card, you can use this the same way that you would use an Oyster, and the fares are the same<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/citymapper.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Citymapper&nbsp;<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Citymapper is a useful app for finding your way around London. It provides information on the best routes of travel to any destination, using either public transport or private hire car services. Every Londoner will have it on their phone!
